The Situation

Spain is historically a Catholic country, and the majority of Spanish citizens declare themselves as non-practicing Catholics. We are amidst a population of 50 million people, of which fewer than 1,8% declare themselves as Protestant or Evangelical (according to www.ferede.org). Although Spain, from an economic standpoint, is a first-world country, from an christian standpoint all the work is still to be done. We have before us an enormous mission field.

The “in construction” ICG new building is located in Vilanova i la Geltrú, 28 miles from Barcelona. Until our building there is completed, however, we are meeting temporarily in Sitges, 5 miles away from Vilanova.

El Garraf, our region, is a tourist area well known for its fantastic beaches and cultural attractions. Without doubt, the area’s proximity to Barcelona and the excellent transportation routes between it and the city make ICG’s influential area a hot spot.

Our area of influence is more than 150.000 people, including the entire region of El Garraf.

What’s ICG about?
